Sell & Trade Books
We have open buying/trading two (2) days a week:
Fridays from 11am-4 pm
Mondays from 11am-4 pm.
During these hours, you can bring in up to 50 books to sell/trade without an appointment.
Can’t make it during those times? No worries, we also offer appointments!
For larger collections (more than 50 books or approximately three (3) average-sized boxes/shopping bags), we ask that you please request an appointment to minimize wait times for other people.
We pay approximately 20% of the resale value in cash (what we will sell the book for in our store) or 30% of the value in store credit.
We are very selective about the books we take, but we do buy a lot of books in almost all categories/genres. Unfortunately, we cannot buy books without seeing them in person.
Please Note: we do not make house calls or take donations. To donate books, please contact your local library or thrift store. Thank you!
Tips on what we are especially looking for:
Recent novels published within the last year (preferably paperbacks)
Popular, recently-published titles in very good condition
Horror, recently-published Contemporary Romance
Recent or classic SF/Fantasy in good condition
Decorative antiquarian books in very good condition
Recently-published architecture, art, photography books in good condition

What we are not buying very much of right now due to overstock (it’s recommended to check with us if you have these types of books before bringing them in):
Middle-grade books/chapter books
YA/Teen unless very new/popular
Mystery/suspense authors like James Patterson, Daniel Silva, etc.
Children’s picture books

Encyclopedias
Hardcover mysteries/suspense/thrillers (i.e. James Patterson, John Sandford, Janet Evanovich, etc.)
Books that are too damaged
Books with any water/moisture damage at all
Books that are dirty/very dusty or have been stored outside or in a garage/storage unit
Books that smell like smoke/tobacco
Hardcover books that were issued with a dust jacket but no longer have the dust jacket
Make an in-store appointment:
If you can’t make it in during our open buying hours (Mondays 11am-4pm and Fridays 11am-4pm), or if you have more than ~50 books, please use this form to make an in-store appointment.
We will need some picture(s) of the books or at least a cross-section of them to give us a very basic idea of what you have. The pictures do not need to show every book, but we want to get an idea of what you have. Without pictures, we will likely not be able to make an appointment.
Please also let us know what days/times might work for you for an appointment. Ideal times for appointments for us are Mondays and Fridays 10-11 or 4-6, Wednesday mornings, and Saturdays/Sundays from 1-5pm.
If pictures are not uploading, you may be trying to attach too many/too large filesize. Please try sending one at a time, or sending fewer pictures or smaller resolution files.
To ensure a fair assessment, we require in-person evaluation for book purchases. We offer approximately 20% cash or 30% in-store credit of our retail value. For larger collections (more than ~50 books), kindly request an appointment.
Please be aware that we do not offer house calls or accept donations. For donations, please reach out to your local library or thrift store. Thank you for your understanding!
Seller must be 16 years of age or older.
